During the 15th century, workers discovered a new use for discarded chips from slab marble And they made practical flooring with a mix of marble chips and clay (Where 70% or more coarse marble aggregate and 30% or less Portland cement matrix) after they given it finishing like grinding and they have given it name Terrazzo flooring
